1. Please describe your company’s primary product or service.
Innovative is a manufacturer of mounting solutions for monitors, laptops, tablet PCs and kiosks. Our products enable flexible positioning while saving space and managing cables.
2. What makes your company unique?
We offer a broad yet configurable product line which allows us to customize our solutions to meet specific customer requirements. This allows us to provide customers with exactly what they need, with fast project turnaround times and attractive pricing.
3. What is your marketing philosophy for the self-service industry?
We will build awareness of company capabilities and products by exhibiting at industry trade shows, advertising in targeted trade publications and participating in trade groups such as this. Word of mouth has also always been a key driver of new business for us. Each new project which we complete adds to our product line, thus expanding the range of available options for future customers.
4. What other business sectors do you operate in?
We operate in sectors including contract furniture, healthcare, financial trading and retail. Innovative also has a healthy custom design/OEM client base.
5. Give a brief history of the company.
Innovative was founded in 1986 to market ergonomic computer products, with manufacturing added soon after. The company was one of the first to offer flexible mounting solutions for computer monitors. The company grew rapidly following the introduction of the LCD monitor in the mid-90s. We have grown exponentially in the past 10 years as our client base has expanded internationally—most recently, a European subsidiary was established in 2006 in order to serve the European Union.
6. Why did you join Self Service & Kiosk Association?
We see this association as a source of leads and contacts, and also as a great opportunity to learn more about the needs and trends of the industry.
7. What do you like about our industry? What are some of the challenges?
There is a great diversity of customer requirements which plays to our strengths in design, engineering and prototyping, as does the need for robust, durable products which are intuitive to use. This diversity is also a challenge since each new project tests our capabilities and creativity
8. What does the future hold for your company’s success in the self-service industry?
Innovative’s unique technologies and design capabilities add value to the self-service projects in which we are involved. We believe there is excellent opportunity for growth in this area.
