I was born in New Haven CT; I attended Marietta College in the late 70s and joined the US Air Force in 1981 which brought me to Austin, TX where I sometimes enjoy visiting when I am not in Ohio or traveling. I am now a full time resident of Ohio so I can be closer to our headquarters and manufacturing facilities and stay connected with day to day operations and our entire staff. I travel approximately 70% of the time for both business and pleasure (more business than pleasure unfortunately but in this industry it’s typically both). I have been in the self-service / kiosk space off and on for approximately 9 years and full time since 5point officially formed in August of 2001. I am proud to say that I am the primary point of contact for all sales and business development efforts for 5point and I directly support and work closely with many members of our expanding association.
Why would you make a good Self-Service & Kiosk Association Advisory Board member?
I have been directly involved in the self-service and kiosk industry for well over eight years and at times my entire life seems to revolve around this still young and very dynamic industry. There is absolutely nothing else in the world I would rather be doing than exactly what I do today. My hands and my heart are wrapped up in 5point and our industry and I am absolutely passionate about 5point and the Self-service and Kiosk industry in general. I live, breathe and sometimes preach self-service technology and it’s benefits, many times before I even realize that I am doing it. I think some people might call it a soap box but I call it pure passion. I am a dedicated, tireless and extremely selfless person that offers this organization and the entire industry the same passion, commitment and dedication that I bring to 5point every single day. The past few years as a board member have been very rewarding both personally and professionally and although I have had some bandwidth issues around the trade shows, my dedication and desire to actively participate and provide insight and guidance for the board and the industry are steadfast. I would very much like to be elected to the board for another term and I look forward to serving each and every member of the Self-Service & Kiosk Association.
